In 1983 a young band from England came as a surprise to the
"supposed to be dead" progressive rock scene. Marillion released
their first album "Script for a Jester's Tear" rising like a phoenix
from the prog ashes and soon conquering the main stages all around
the world. The press rated them as the true heirs of the Genesis
Gabriel-era and the "Script" album (being their most "progressive"
record) built a musical foundation that was hard to beat until
today.
For the 25th anniversary, founding member Mick Pointer (the
original drummer) will perform this entire legendary masterpiece,
including the 20 minute epic "Grendel" that was left out on all
continental dates at the early European tours! All early Marillion
fans can look forward to 2 hours of an authentic early "Marillion
concert"...
